With our core business in Los Angeles, Spring/Summer is always a tricky season. Our clients want to look their best, but with the rising temperatures and their increasing travel plans, it can be a challenge to make the right choices. This year, our friends at Canali have introduced an array of fabrics and styles that are impossible to ignore for the fairer season.

Versatility. The Kei Style suit separates meet your needs if you’re trying to stay stylish while on the go. Sporty enough for a casual lunch, but tailored in a way that will still keep you on the level in any conference room. Textures are rich and the pattern is subtle, while the hand of the fabric gives it that luxurious tone you would expect from Canali. I paired it with one of their white mercerized polos as an alternative to the classic white button-up, keeping the look and your body temperature cool.

Elegance. After my trip to fashion week in Europe, it became evident that patterns continue to remain a must for 2017. Whether it’s fine textured elements like the Kei Separates or the bold windowpane in the Silk/Linen blazer, unexciting flat solids are a look of the past. I went with one of Canali’s classic spread collar button-ups and a truly unique compliment in their all-new solid navy seersucker pants. These trousers give you the solid tone look, while still bringing out some texture. To bring the total look together, I went with their new chocolate brown sneakers, which I can honestly say will stay in my wardrobe well into the fall.

Edge. All work and no play is no fun. A callback to the ‘70s style bomber jacket, Canali’s Babykid cotton/cashmere suede removable hooded jacket is one of my favorites of the season. Neutral tones and contrasting textures makes the piece current and the perfect compliment to any Saturday out-and-about look. I paired the jacket with their brown silk/cotton 5-pocket pants. They are cut like jeans with a soft and super comfortable feel, while still giving off a luxurious look that only a silk blend can offer.

Overall, Canali’s spring/summer collection is perfect for unexpected weather and on-the-go style. My clients want it all, and I’m definitely going to keep a few pieces myself.
